KEITH FINDS COMFORT WITH HIS BAND

Most artists feel pretty upbeat when they launch a single into the Top 10 on the country charts, but Keith Anderson is instead struggling to come to grips with a tough personal development.

His mother, Janice Anderson, died after a lengthy bout with cancer on June 30, just as he was reaching the upper realms of the chart with "I Still Miss You." The song obviously takes on new meaning for him, and it's been a difficult one for him to sing in concert as a result.

But Keith has also gotten some support on the road from his band members, who understand - many of them because they've had the same experience firsthand.

"It's pretty amazing how God will put you with people without you even knowin'," Keith told Dial-Global. "But on my bus of 10 guys - crew members and band mates and a bus driver - seven of those 10 have lost their mom in the last two to two-and-a-half years. And so I'm surrounded with a bunch of guys that really know what I'm going through and have been so supportive to help me get through this."

Keith's dad has also travelled to some dates with him as the family pulls together, and his dad may be along for more trips in the future.
