- In his early touring days, Kenny Chesney slept on a couch on a tour bus he called the Iron Lung. "That's how we rolled," he told Billboard in 2007. "I thought when I was making $3,500 a show, that that was a lot of money, and for a guy who had never made a dime, it was."
- Kenny Chesney dealt with the painful collapse of his four-month marriage to Renée Zellweger by working out. "I've had to put a new belt on my treadmill," he told PEOPLE.
- Faith Hill and Tim McGraw gave Kenny Chesney a Brunswick pool table as a housewarming gift.
- Even the laid-back Kenny Chesney has his pet peeves. "What I really hate is when girls with long nails just grab my hand and squeeze hard," he told PEOPLE. "They don't realize they're digging in."
- After he recorded Bruce Springsteen's "One Step Up," Kenny Chesney sent the Boss a copy of the recording. "He wrote me this really sweet, wonderful letter, telling me how much he loved what I did with his work," Chesney told the Chicago Tribune. "And that was one of the highlights of my career."

Kenny Chesney (born Kenneth Arnold Chesney, March 26, 1968 in Knoxville, Tennessee ) is an American country music singer-songwriter. Having made his debut on Capricorn Records in 1993, Chesney has recorded thirteen albums, eleven of which have been certified gold or higher by the RIAA.
To date, he has also produced more than thirty Top Ten singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, fourteen of which reached Number One. In addition, Chesney has received six ACM (including four consecutive Entertainer of the Year Awards), as well as three CMA awards. Chesney is also one of the most popular touring acts in country music, regularly selling out the venues at which he performs;his 2007 Flip-Flop Summer Tour was the highest-grossing country road trip of 2007. He was awarded his 4th consecutive ACM Entertainer of the Year award on May 18, 2008.

In 2000, he released his Greatest Hits album, followed by the first of several albums with an island feel to them in 2002, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems
The island-theme was well-accepted, and if it ain't broke... Kenny followed with When The Sun Goes Down,, Be As You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair, and by 2006, he had racked up over 25 million in sales, and won the ACM Entertainer of the Year for the first time (he's currently the reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year).

Kenny Chesney continues to play for over one million fans each year, and his tours are constantly flocked to by fans all over the country. He can fill stadiums, and his shows have sold out in minutes. In 2008, he will bring The Poets & Pirates Tour to cities across the United States. He brings with him opening acts LeAnn Rimes and Gary Allan, and on some dates, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Hagar, Big & Rich, and Luke Bryan will join him.
